Christie L. Tournet
Christie Tournet is a St. Tammany Parish estate planning/administration attorney and she also provides counseling related to real estate and commercial issues. She further assists families and businesses with proper planning, dealing with unexpected events, and conflict resolution. Her plans are comprehensive and personal.
Prior to becoming a counselor, Christie extensively worked in the Greater New Orleans and St. Tammany Parish real estate and construction industries for over a decade – assisting with the development and management of numerous residential and commercial properties. Also prior to becoming an attorney, Christie became a Louisiana notary public and held an active Louisiana Realtor license for over 10 years. Christie harnesses her unique, real-world background to effectively resolve her clients’ concerns and she appreciates the importance of providing early case evaluation and continued communication.
Christie graduated summa cum laude from Loyola University New Orleans with a double major in Economics and International Business. Then, she pursued her Juris Doctorate at Loyola University New Orleans School of Law’s evening program, while she continued to work full-time. Loyola University School of Law awarded her the LaNasa-Greco Endowed Scholarship and the Loyola Law Excellence Award in Probate.
Christie remains actively involved in her community and the industries she represents. She is a member of the Northshore Wealth & Planning Professionals, National Association of Estate Planners, the 22nd JDC Bar, and the 22nd JDC Inn of Court. She also performs Pro Bono work for Southeast Louisiana Legal Services and participates in their “Volunteers for Veterans” and the “Wills for Heroes” programs.
Christina L. Williams
Christina (“Chrissy”) L. Williams started her legal career in 1986 working extensively in personal injury law. She assisted with claims filing, analysis of medical records and testimony, finalizing settlements, and trial preparation. During this time, she managed all aspects of a busy law practice. She holds a Paralegal Certification from the University of New Orleans.
In 2003, Chrissy obtained her St. Tammany Parish Notary Public commission and she single-handedly closed real estate transfers and cured real estate title issues. She held a producer’s license and managed all aspects of a title insurance and closing company with offices on the north shore and south shore of Lake Pontchartrain.
Chrissy also obtained her Louisiana Realtor license and worked for a real estate sales company where she gained extensive experience in real estate sales as well as management of real estate offices with multiple locations, including all financial, compliance, and agent aspects.
In 2016, Chrissy attended Southeastern Louisiana University’s notary class, sat for the semi-annual exam, and obtained her statewide Notary Public commission.
Chrissy continued to work in the legal industry and assisted with general liability insurance, workers’ compensation, and construction defense; real estate claims; and estate planning and successions. Chrissy Williams’ comprehensive and hands-on experience with litigation assistance, real estate transactions, and business management uniquely equips her to efficiently and professionally provide paralegal services.
